We created a data-led ranking of the UK’s most dog-friendly forests to secure backlinks and boost Dog Friendly Cottages’ SEO.

The Brief

Dog Friendly Cottages, the UK’s leading dog-friendly holiday rentals platform, approached us to create a digital PR campaign that would earn high-authority backlinks and drive brand visibility in both pet and travel media.

The aim was to strengthen their SEO performance for competitive search terms and reinforce their position as the go-to choice for pet-friendly staycations. We proposed a content-led asset that would blend travel inspiration with practical value for dog owners.

The Strategy

We created a data-led guide ranking the UK’s most dog-friendly forests, combining variables such as walking trails, facilities, accessibility, and dog-friendly reviews.

The content was designed to appeal to national, regional, travel, and pet media, as well as lifestyle blogs. Our outreach strategy focused on local angles (“best dog-friendly forests near Manchester”), seasonal tie-ins (Autumn staycation trends), and securing regional press coverage to drive both backlinks and brand trust.
